LGE Attorney Appointed to Nevada Area Council BSA Board of Directors

LGE lawyer Christian Moore has been appointed a member of the Board of Directors of the Boy Scouts of America Nevada Area Council. The BSA Nevada Area Council mission statement is “to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the value of the Scout Oath and Law.” The Scout Oath is: “On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physical strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.” The Scout Law is: “A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, Reverent.” As of this past February, the BSA Nevada Area Council is enrolling both girls and boys into Cub Scout Packs and Boy Scout Troops. The BSA NAC has approximately 6500 members, covers a geographic region of over 100,000 square miles, and operates a seven figure annual budget with assets consisting primarily of a scout camp in Lassen County, California and a building in South Reno. Mr. Moore has commented “Every person is important, and it is a privilege to help build young men and women so that they have happy and productive lives as they in turn contribute positively to their communities.”
