u Tiffinay Barker Pagni Appointed Commissioner of Nevada Volunteers Tiffinay Barker Pagni has been appointed by Governor Jim Gibbons as a Commissioner for Nevada Volunteers, formerly the Nevada Commission for National and Community Service. Nevada Volunteers creates countless opportunities to inspire, teach, train and recognize individuals, organizations, and businesses across Nevada to develop a legacy of service and citizenship. The Nevada Volunteers is the Governor’s Commission that administers AmeriCorps programs statewide and hosts the annual Governor’s Points of Light award. Since 1994, over 2,047 AmeriCorps members have served throughout Nevada recruiting more than 14,000 volunteers who donated over 97,000 hours of service to local communities. In September 2007, First Lady Dawn Gibbons was named the Honorary Chair of Nevada Volunteers and considers the commission one of her top priorities. The Website www.NevadaVolunteers.org eventually will become a single source for Nevadans to go statewide for volunteering opportunities. u Todd Alexander Joins Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg as Associate Todd was born in Petaluma, California on October 31, 1975, and was raised in Sparks, Nevada. He served in the United States Navy from 1995 – 1999, after which he attended the University of Nevada. In 2004, Todd graduated from the University of Nevada with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. Todd then attended the University of Oregon School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 2007. Prior to joining Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg, Todd served as a legal extern to the Honorable Robert A. McQuaid in 2005. He then served as a summer law clerk for Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg in 2006. After graduating from law school, Todd served as a law clerk for the Honorable Steven P. Elliott in the Second Judicial District Court for the State of Nevada. Todd is licensed to practice law in Nevada and practices primarily in the areas of civil litigation and insurance defense. |
